Get your ticket validated at the Front Desk before retrieving your vehicle, and allow at least an hour for valet retrieval.

History

The Belvedere Hotel was built in 1926, and 2026 marks its 100th anniversary as a landmark of Midtown's Theater District.

The hotel is known for its Art Deco architecture, a style that defined the golden age of New York hotel design in the late 1920s, and one that's still visible in the building's facade and original details today.

The building originally opened as the Belvedere Apartments before later being converted into a hotel, a piece of history that adds to the property's distinct character today.

Disposable plates, cups, and utensils, an electric kettle, and toothbrush/toothpaste kits are available on request from the Front Desk.

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. A physical government-issued ID and a valid credit card are required at check-in, with a security authorization of $100 per day (up to $300). Any unused authorization is released at check-out, though timing depends on your bank.

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival, by 4:00 PM on the day prior to your arrival date. Non-refundable rates cannot be cancelled or modified.

Payments, Billing & Taxes

The daily facility fee includes Wi-Fi for unlimited devices, morning coffee service (7-10 AM), unlimited use of the business center's internet terminal and printer, unlimited scanning/faxing/photocopying through Guest Services, unlimited domestic phone calls, 24/7 fitness center access, package receiving, and a 15% food credit at Churrascaria Plataforma. This fee is separate from the room rate.

Each night is taxed as follows: 14.75% combined state and city tax, a $4.00 occupancy tax, and a $1.50 NYC unit fee. All rates are quoted per room, per day.

The Belvedere Hotel accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

A credit card security deposit of $100 per day (up to a maximum of $300) is authorized at check-in to cover incidentals.

Authorizations are released at check-out. Please check with your bank directly, as the time it takes for funds to reappear depends on the bank's policies.

Guests must present a fully signed New York City and State tax exemption form, and the stay must be paid for by the tax-exempt organization for the exemption to apply. This can be prepaid via the organization's card at least 14 days before check-in, or presented at check-in with the organization's card. If paid without prior exemption paperwork, guests have a 90-day window after check-out to submit proof (including the ST-119 or ST-129 New York State form) for a refund of taxes charged.
